Escape Hybrid is available in three trim levels: SE, SEL and Titanium. They all have the same powertrain components under the hood — a 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid engine. The 2021 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid is among the highest-priced hybrids on the list. A gloss black front grille, side-mirror-mounted LED turn-signal indicators, and a solar roof come standard in the Sonata Hybrid. Each Hyundai Sonata Hybrid comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder hybrid engine that is impressively fuel efficient getting an EPA-estimated 49 mpg combined.
The 2022 Toyota Prius comes in four trims: L Eco, LE, XLE and Limited, with only the Limited starts above $30,000. This hybrid combines active grille shutters, aero stabilizing fins and underbody panels to improve airflow around the vehicle, making it more fuel efficient. Under the hood there is a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine. The 2022 Toyota Prius achieves an EPA-estimated 56 mpg combined.
The 2022 Ford Maverick is the only truck to make this list and the first American pickup to come standard with a 2.5-liter full hybrid engine. The Ford Maverick has a towing capacity of 2,000 pounds and plenty of bed and backseat bin storage. The 2022 Maverick achieves an EPA-estimated 40 mpg combined.Hybrid Starting Price: $24,950
