A major crime scene has been declared at a residential house after a first nation man was shot dead by police. 9News
Officers were called to the Grange address after reports he was trying to stab his father with a knife.
Detective Superintendent Andrew Massingham told reporters the man "lunged at police with what we believe is a knife, which resulted in an officer discharging three shots". "Upon their arrival they noticed that a man had actually been stabbed in the left hand, it was quite a deep laceration and also suffered an injury to his left shoulder," Massingham said.
Evidence markers remain dotted across the driveway as detectives focused on the area underneath the home where the shooting occurred."They shot him. They shot my son," the woman said.An investigation began after the fatal shooting of a man in Brisbane's north by police today.
