Three men posing as cleaning service employees broke into a Queensland home, robbed the occupants at gunpoint, and fled with stolen valuables. Police conducted a subsequent search, seizing drugs and firearms, leading to the arrest and charges against three individuals.

Three men disguised as cleaners and armed with guns violently entered a residence in Queensland, Australia, holding the occupants captive, making threats, and stealing valuables. The incident occurred on January 3rd at a home on Moon Crt in Karawatha. According to Queensland Police , the perpetrators posed as employees from a fictitious cleaning and removals company.

They entered the house brandishing firearms and restrained three individuals who were unaware of them, while issuing verbal threats. Authorities report that the men made off with money and watches, fleeing the scene in a white van displaying a fabricated business logo. Police believe this was not a random act of violence. Subsequently, a search warrant was executed on January 13th, targeting a residence in Greenbank, two vehicles, and several storage units in Ormeau. This search yielded a significant haul, including cash, illegal drugs, and two rifles, one of which was equipped with a silencer. Following the investigation, three men have been charged with armed robbery, deprivation of liberty, and other related offenses. The accused are a 33-year-old from Coomera, a 39-year-old from Ormeau, and a 28-year-old from Greenbank. The Coomera and Ormeau men appeared in Richland Magistrates Court on Tuesday and were remanded in custody, scheduled to reappear on March 4th. The Greenbank man was also remanded in custody and is anticipated to appear in Richlands Magistrates Court on Wednesday. Sergeant Denis Silk, leading the investigation, described the case as a highly organized crime, acknowledging the complexity of the operation. He emphasized the dedication of his unit to swiftly and effectively resolve offenses, providing victims with a sense of justice and peace of mind. Silk further stressed the unwavering stance against individuals who endanger the community's safety, assuring that any offender who believes they can evade justice for such crimes will be apprehended and held accountable for their actions
