New research has revealed the top three highest-rated gardens in Scotland perfect for a July day out based on reviews left by previous visitors — with one city garden claiming the top spot.
When the sun is shining, there is nothing better than spending an afternoon surrounded by colourful plants. In Scotland, we are spoiled for choice when it comes to picturesque green space, but three have triumphed above the rest in new research conducted by InsureandGo.
Elsewhere, the second-highest rated garden in Scotland is Princes Street Gardens. Also located in Edinburgh, the public park was found to have 94 per cent of reviews being four stars or higher. CEO at InsureandGo Chris Rolland commented: "Embarking on a holiday to discover something unique is part of what drives so many travellers to book a flight and adventure somewhere new, whether that’s a renowned restaurant or a rare indigenous plant. For tourists travelling in search of exciting new plants they can’t see at home, there’s plenty of excellent countries offering different flora and landscapes, from deserts full of cacti to rainforests full of tropical plants.
