Former Labor Minister Stephen Conroy says Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese coming out of COVID-19 isolation into the campaign launch is “good timing”.

“I think Albo had found his feet before he unfortunately got COVID-19; he was starting to punch back strongly after a disappointing first week,” Mr Conroy told Sky News Australia.

“I think coming out fresh into the campaign policy launch couldn’t have been better scripted if I had thought of it myself.”
