A toddler has been airlifted to the Queensland Children’s Hospital after a vicious dog, which was tied up, mauled his face in the Gympie region on Sunday afternoon.
The little boy remains in a serious but stable condition in Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane on Monday morning.The breed of the dog is not yet known.
The incident comes just weeks after a young boy was caught on security camera being mauled by a dog at a café on the Gold Coast. The six-year-old was patting the British bulldog in Currumbin on Easter Sunday, when it turned on him and attacked his arm. He needed to undergo two surgeries for a five-inch gash, and his father is now calling for the dog to be destroyed.
