Picture: Supplied "We've seen under Anthony Albanese's leadership fewer homes being built, 40 per cent fewer homes being built, we see fewer first home buyers, we see less housing approvals - which is really worrying - and that means housing is just going to get worse over the next 12 to 18 months.

With Queenslanders heading to the polls in just over a month's time, some analysts have also labelled the move a shrewd piece of politics designed to drum up support for the unpopular Miles government. Both the Build to Rent and Help to Buy bills look unlikely to move through the Upper House, prompting Mr Albanese to declare both parties were standing in the way of fixing the affordability crisis.
