As of late Friday, the latest BOM NT forecast was that the system could develop into a cyclone offshore on Sunday and cross the coast south-west of Darwin on Monday as a category one system. They are also asking people to reconsider any travel to Channel Point, Dundee Beach, Bynoe Harbour or anywhere on the Tiwi Islands over the next few days, and urging boat users to stay off the water.
