The heartbroken family of a Perth tradie evacuated from Bali after he was critically injured in a weekend scooter accident is preparing to turn off his life support. Shane Ramsey, 30, had visited the holiday island to celebrate a friend’s wedding when he crashed in Seminyak on Sunday morning. He underwent emergency brain surgery and his loved ones raced to be by his bedside in hospital, desperate for signs of improvement.
“So please just know that Shane’s family have no words to express their extreme gratitude for all the support from those who knew Shane, and even the total strangers who also donated.” The crash occurred while Ramsey was travelling to watch a broadcast of Sunday’s UFC event being held in Perth. He suffered a fractured skull, severe brain damage and bleeding in his lungs. The accident happened just a day after he was a groomsman at a friend’s wedding.
