Kelly Hagerty has been on holiday in Puerto Rico in Gran Canaria with 12 friends and family members for 10 days.
A 'traumatised' family has been 'stranded' for 10 days and 'can't get through' to easyJet amid the current flight chaos.But when they got to the airport the group, including five young children and a toddler, were told their flight was cancelled. Kelly claims the next available flight is not until September 9, Wales Online reports.
Luckily for the family, the hotel they had been staying at has allowed them to stay for an extra night until midday on Tuesday. According to Kelly, they are looking for another hotel to stay at which would be around £1,000 for each family that has come on the holiday with her. "My sister, Lisa, and her partner, with their 11-year-old daughter. We've also got my brother, Rhys, with his girlfriend, Chloe - she's a teacher, she needs to be back in school for Friday. They've got two young children - a two-year-old and an eight-year-old.
"There are just no flights at the moment - none to Heathrow or Gatwick, Cardiff nor Bristol. We've even looked at stop over flights, but there's nothing.On Tuesday, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that Transport Secretary Mark Harper would be talking to airlines about their responsibilities to passengers hit by air traffic control disruption.
