Emotional tributes have been shared online for a 16-year-old girl who died in a Melbourne home in mysterious circumstances.
Leah Spengler, 16, was found dead in a home in Wyndham Vale about 10.30pm on Sunday. A man, 19, was arrested by police and questioned following the discovery, but he was later released by officers after they received the results of a post mortem.
Victoria Police said they believe Ms Spengler’s death is not suspicious, although how the young woman died is being investigated by detectives. Friends posted tributes on Facebook, under Ms Spengler’s posts and photos, saying they missed their friend, they were “sorry” she lost her life so young.Leah had posted about moving her life in a new direction earlier in the month.“Missing you so much baby girl,” one girl wrote.
“Rest easy bby,” another wrote. “I love you so much I’m so sorry it had to end like this you have such a massive impact on me you have no idea what you did for me and I’m never gonna get the chance to thank you and that gonna kill me.”“Rip beautiful girl I miss you so much,” another wrote. Ms Spengler had made a number of emotional posts on social media in recent months, but had reportedly been trying to turn her life around.Local detectives are now in charge of the investigation in Ms Spengler’s death, according to Victoria Police.
