Friends, family and 'deeply saddened' associates mourn a 'proud' and 'generous' businessman who died alongside another man and two children in a light plane crash.
Sixty-seven-year-old Robert "Roy" Watterson was piloting the light aircraft that crashed into the sea off the end of a runway at Redcliffe Aerodrome just after 9:00am on Sunday.
Entrepreneur Roy Watterson was the pilot of the plane that crashed and one of the four people who died. The multi-million-dollar company remains family owned and operates across Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Islands.
