President realDonaldTrump is demanding an investigation into BernieSanders' campaign after insisting that the rival is getting unfair help - from Russia.
“By saying that, O’Brien injected himself into the campaign by commenting on a potential rival,” the official was quoted as saying. “If he’s willing to say that as national security adviser, what does that mean for the next nine months? And what is he doing when the camera’s not on him?”
“And what they are doing, by the way, the ugly thing that they are doing, and I’ve seen some of their tweets and stuff, is they try to divide us up,” he went on. “That’s what they did in 2016 and that is the ugliest thing they are doing – is they are trying to cause chaos, they are trying to cause hatred in America.”
Last week, a senior intelligence official said Russia believes Mr Trump’s re-election is in its best interests. Back in January he said: “Let me be clear: We must not live in denial while allowing Russia and other state actors to undermine our democracy or divide us. Russia targets the divisions in our society. We will work to heal those divisions.”
