It’s been a day since former US President Donald Trump was shot at a rally, and the fallout from the assassination attempt is continuing to rock the world.

Trump said he immediately knew something was wrong when he heard the shots, ”and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realised then what was happening.”“In this moment, it is more important than ever that we stand united, and show our true character as Americans, remaining strong and determined,” he said.“Look, there is no place in America for this kind of violence. It’s sick, it’s sick,” he said.
And amid growing fears of political violence escalating in the US, she called for the country to “look beyond the left and right, beyond the red and blue,” and rise above the ’hate and vitriol” that was tearing Americans apart.
