Republicans flock to Boat for Trump Parade: Annelise Nielsen in Oshkosh, Wisconsin | Sky News AustraliaRepublicans flock to Boat for Trump Parade: Annelise Nielsen in Oshkosh, Wisconsin | Sky News AustraliaAcross the US Labor Day events were being cancelled left, right and centre. Every search for a bit of colour and fun was turning up empty handed. \n\nExcept the “Boat for Trump” Parades.\n\nThe parades are a relatively new phenomenon. So we bought a carton of beer and hoped for the best. \n\nAbout 2 minutes in we found a woman out walking and explained we wanted to join the parade. Moments later she was in our back seat directing us to her friends house. The friend immediately gave us coffee and started ringing around. 20 minutes later we were boarding a pontoon belonging to a couple called Ron and Diane. \n\nThere’s a special kind of mid-west hospitality you don’t see anywhere else. \n\nSpending the day with a group Trump supporters you’re confronted with the reality that many Australians find uncomfortable, or simply can’t compute. That nice, reasonable, smart, hard working people like Donald Trump. \n\nEven in a Trump Boat parade, decked out in red, white and blue T-shirts and blasting military parade songs, these voters are not all like the others. \n\nSome leaned towards being pro-choice. Others think access to assault rifles actually ought be wound back. There is, however, an infatuation with Donald Trump as a person which you can’t reason
