Sky News host Rita Panahi says US President Donald Trump “will not forgive and forget” his recent ‘mocking’ by other Western world leaders at the NATO 70th anniversary summit. The meeting of leaders on Wednesday was completely overshadowed by spats and acrimony involving the US president.
The conversation, caught on camera, involved Mr Macron, Mr Trudeau and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Ms Panahi said those involved in the alleged gossiping were “naïve” to think they could “stand around” and “mouth off” about Mr Trump and think they were not being recorded by media. “Trump does not forgive and forget these sorts of insults… I just think it’s foolish,” Ms Panahi told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
