BREAKING Prime Minister Scott Morrison confirms two Australians are among those killed in the Sri Lanka attacks.
Two Australians from the same family have been killed in the Sri Lankan terrorist bomb attacks on churches and hotels, Prime Minister Scott Morrison has announced.Relatives of a blast victim grieve outside a morgue in Colombo, Sri Lanka."Sri Lanka is grieving, Australia is grieving. Two Australians have lost their lives in this terrible massacre," Mr Morrison said. "My heart is full of grief for them and their families, as I'm sure all Australians' are.
Two other Australians have been wounded - a woman aged in her mid-50s and a woman in her mid-to-late 20s. Both were in a stable condition, Mr Morrison said. One was treated for shrapnel wounds and the other for a broken leg. Both were dual nationals and were receiving help from Australian diplomats. He did not provide any details about the Australians who were killed, saying their families had requested that the information be kept private.
"As the days pass and the injured are treated, and some of them succumb to their wounds as well, we are seeing this massacre go from what was bad, very bad, to much, much worse, Mr Morrison said. "It is just a terribly sad day. Sri Lanka will be just devastated by this, as I think all peace-loving peoples of the world are."
