Two men have been charged after planning an anti-lockdown protest to take place in Melbourne's CBD this weekend. 9News

Police raided two properties this morning and seized several items belonging to the pair, including mobile phones, laptops and postage items.

The 28-year-old Coburg man and a 32-year-old Epping man were both arrested and charged with incitement over the protest planned for Saturday.They were both bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on February 4, 2021. Victoria Police warned they were continuing to "actively investigate the coordination and encouragement" of the protest.

"This is a serious breach of the Chief Health Officer directions and jeopardises the health of the entire community," it said. "Those still thinking of attending the CBD to protest on Saturday can expect a swift and firm response from police.
