Queensland emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 1pm today following reports of a heavy vehicle crash. 9News

In a statement, the Department of Defence told 9News.com.au that it was aware of the incident involving an Army vehicle.

"The welfare of Defence personnel and their next of kin is of utmost importance and our focus is on providing support to them."Prime Minister Scott Morrison passed on his condolences to the two ADF members on Twitter. "Wherever the sacrifice of our brave men and women of our ADF occurs, it is a great price for them to pay, all in equal measure.
