Around 8:24 p.m., Janeiro Matthews was driving his 2014 Kia Cadenza westbound on State Route 104 near Alum Creek Drive when Aden Dagane, driving a 2012 Toyota Camry, struck Matthews in a head-on collision, according to Columbus police.Preliminary reports shared by police indicate that Dagane had entered the off-ramp from SR 104 going eastbound before the drivers collided. Both Matthews and Dagane were transported to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center where they both succumbed to their injuries.
The Columbus police Accident Investigation Unit responded to the scene and the traffic crash remains under investigation.
