Two men have been charged after shots were allegedly fired at a car with a four-month-old baby inside in Sydney's south west. 9News
When officers arrived at Welch Avenue they allegedly found damage consistent with "shots being fired toward a vehicle", bullet casings and damage to a fence."The armed man is believed to have fled the scene in a black Toyota Camry, before getting into a grey Hyundai Veloster on Highview Street toward Bankstown," NSW Police said in a statement.Detectives have released CCTV of the incident and people fleeing the scene in hopes people will come forward with information.
Officers arrested a 25-year-old man at Bankstown Police Station on Wednesday after strike force Terrol was established. "He was charged with fire firearm at dwelling house with reckless disregard for any person, assault with intent to rob while armed with a dangerous weapon, participate criminal group and contribute to criminal activity," NSW Police said.
A second 26-year-old man was arrested after his car was stopped on Stansfield Street in Greenacre on Thursday morning."He was taken to Bankstown Police Station, where he was charged with fire firearm at dwelling-house with disregard for safety, assault with intent to rob while armed with dangerous weapon, participate criminal group contribute criminal activity and drive motor vehicle while licence suspended."Both men were refused bail.
