Police were called to Kett Street after reports a woman in her 50's was being seriously assaulted by a woman in her 20's at about 6.30pm on Friday, March, 8. Police fired at her and she died at the scene.The deceased aged in her 20's has not been formally identified yet.Police believe both women were known to each other.
Homicide Squad detectives will investigate the incident which will be overseen by Professional Standards Command, as per protocol when a police firearm is discharged.
