BREAKING: BorisJohnson will remain UK prime minister after winning a powerful majority of parliamentary seats. Full story:
Jeremy Corbyn has conceded the election, and announced he will be stepping down as leader of the Labour Party.
He listed a few of the policies in that manifesto, insisting they were actually popular with the British electorate that just rejected him. "I want to make it clear that I will not lead the party in any future general election campaign. I will discuss with my party to make sure there is a process now of reflection upon this result. And I will lead the party during that period to ensure that discussion takes place," he said.
