The UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock has defended his government's plans to appoint former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott as a UK trade envoy.
Critics in the UK have raised concerns over comments MrAbbott made on women, migrants and the LGBT community. In a Sky News interview, Matt Hancock defended the appointment, saying Tony Abbott was an expert on trade. "As the former Prime Minister of Australia, obviously Mr Abbott’s got huge amounts of experience," he said.
