Jenn Selby ended her political campaign after her Liberal Democrats rival — high-profile Labour defector Chuka Umunna — agreed to adopt some WEP policies, including more funding for domestic abuse and rape crisis services. Ms Selby said if other parties adopted the WEP's platforms, it would be a huge victory, particularly for vulnerable women.
