Americans who have indicated to pollsters they’re ‘undecided’ will break for President Donald Trump, but are just too shy to admit it, according to former Labor minister Stephen Conroy. Following the first presidential debate, a survey was conducted to find out who voters thought won the debate.

The CBS poll showed 41 per cent of respondents thought the president won, and 48 per cent said Mr Biden won. However, 10 per cent of respondents saw it as a tie or were undecided. “If they haven’t worked out what they think of Donald Trump they’re just too shy … to say that they’re voting for him,” Mr Conroy told Sky News host Paul Murray.
