Workers had previously suspended their planned strike action upon receipt of the new pay offer from management
Previously, council staff had threatened planned industrial action for four weeks beginning on 18 July.A spokesperson for Derry City and Strabane District Council confirmed that it had received notification that both main unions representing staff, Unite and Nipsa, have accepted the council's pay offer.
The union had previously warned the industrial action could have "paralysed" council services, which included bin collections, over a four-week period.
