Owen Phillips was involved in TV investigations into Savile but believes his Channel 4 programme on the US fugitive is the most bizarre he's ever worked on.
The director behind a landmark documentary on US fugitive Nicholas Rossi said the sex offender was a master manipulator who could have as my victims as Jimmy Savile .
“In the same way as Savile when more victims came forward, it’s the same with this. It’s a distinct pattern that goes back decades.” Phillips said Rossi, who claimed he had to wear a breathing mask as a result of being hospitalised with covid, tried to manipulate him and his team but he quickly realised that his Arthur Knight character was fake.
