US President Donald Trump has threatened to cut funding to schools if they don't reopen while COVID-19 surges in hotspots across the US.
The United States has passed another grim coronavirus milestone with three million confirmed cases, as President Donald Trump downplays the risks posed by the pandemic and aggressively pushes for schools to fully reopen.
"At this point, we have tested more than 39 million Americans," US Vice President Mike Pence told reporters. In a sign of the White House's shift on the matter, Mr Pence himself came to the briefing wearing a cloth mask, which he had avoided until now.
