The partially-blind passenger had to wait in the airport until 5am after a mistake he says could have been fixed in minutes
A partially-sighted SAS veteran was left stranded after being stopped from boarding a Ryanair flight because of a mix up with his boarding pass. Mr Denvir, 76, goes by the name Brian, but his passport is under his Christian name Bernard.
Mr Denvir, a father of eight and grandfather of four, is partially sighted after suffering a stroke following complications during surgery to remove a brain tumour, reports MEN. He said: "It was probably one of the worst days I've had in the last few years. He said: "It was a long day and a long night all for a little bit of confusion which could have been fixed within five minutes. It was a situation that just wasn't necessary."
