It was followed by Northern Health with a deficit of $115.8 million, Western Health at $102.4 million and Eastern Health at $100.04 million. The annual reports also revealed several Victorian hospitals did not have enough cash on hand to operate day-to-day. "What matters most to Victorians is the performance of our public health service system," Ms Thomas said.
Shadow Health Minister Georgie Crozier said the tabled reports demonstrated the extent of Victoria's "health crisis"."These health services are struggling to pay the bills, struggling to pay doctors and nurses, and struggling to deliver the health care Victorians so desperately deserve."
