Victorians are scrambling to get tested in the lead-up to the Christmas holiday period with some reporting wait times of up to three hours.

Testing centres at Albert Park, Brighton, Broadmeadows, Bundoora, Craigieburn, Cranbourne East, Emerald, Epping, Heidelberg Heights, Melbourne’s Alfred Health and Bourke St walk-ins, Mooroolbark, Melbourne University’s Testing Clinic, South Melbourne, Sunshine West and Wantirna have all been shut due to the increased demand.
Ferntree Gully has so far reported the longest wait time of 180 minutes with residents queuing for the Cranbourne and Wondonga sites reporting a wait time of 150 minutes. Victoria recorded 1,302 new cases and zero deaths on Monday, according to the Victorian Department of Health.
