The father of four-year-old Ali Aminzadah tells the ABC he is devastated after his son drowned in a wetland area at Officer, in Melbourne's outer south-east.

Emergency services were called to Lagoon Row in Officer on Sunday evening after reports a child had been located unresponsive in nearby wetlands.The boy has been identified as Ali Aminzadah, originally from Swan Hill in Victoria's north-west.Authorities said the death was not being treated as suspicious and police would prepare a report for the coroner."This is absolutely tragic news," he said.
