Victorians are being encouraged to remain working from home for at least another month.
The state government is planning to keep its work-from-home order until March, according to The Herald Sun newspaper.
An estimated 90 per cent of the state’s workforce is based at home due to the government directive, which has been in place for almost two years. Business leaders are warning the move will cost Victoria’s economy tens of millions of dollars each week. Office occupancy rates in Melbourne’s CBD are sitting at 12 per cent, according to the Property Council of Australia.
