A video of a white woman calling the police on a black man claiming he was threatening her after he asked her to put her dog on a leash in New York’s Central Park has gone viral.
Mr Cooper, an avid bird watcher, told NBC New York he was spotting birds in the Ramble area of Central Park at 8am on Monday when he asked the woman to put a leash on her dog because she was in an area of the park where dogs are required to be restrained at all times.
The New York Police Department attended the scene and said no arrests or complaints were made after they determined the incident was a “verbal dispute”, according to the NBC New York report.
