A man has been arrested and a gun seized after shots were fired at Canberra Airport, forcing the evacuation of all travellers and staff.
Emergency services were called to the airport on Sunday afternoon following reports of gunshots in the main terminal building.Watch the latest News on Channel 7 or stream for free on“Shortly after one person was taken into custody and a firearm was recovered,” ACT Police said in a statement. “CCTV has been reviewed and at this time the person in custody is believed to be the only person responsible for this incident.Credit:“The Canberra Airport terminal was evacuated as a precaution and the situation at the Airport is contained,” ACT Police added.No injuries have been reported and police are expected to provide an update later on Sunday.Your cookie settings are preventing this third party content from displaying.
