'Like many other businesses we are experiencing significantly increased costs'

Virgin Media customers are due to see their prices increase by an average of 13.8% in the coming weeks.

It has said that it has made the decision due to experiencing increased costs and a growing demand for broadband usage. However, Virgin Media has stressed that it has given customers the opportunity to cancel their package, penalty free, within 30 days of them receiving news of the price increase. Virgin Media has also announced that from April 2024, it will be introducing inflation linked price increases that will be based on the Retail Price Index +3.9%. These will be applied every April from 2024.
