Yes23 leader Dean Parkin is addressing the Yes campaign’s official function, where he has blamed the referendum result on misinformation. “We did all we could to alleviate those doubts, to ensure the proposal was strong. We believe the proposal remains strong,” Parkin said.

“It is clear from the result that we were not able to reach you and cut through, what has been the single largest misinformation campaign that this country has ever seen. “This is a very difficult result, this is a very hard result ... This is not the result we were seeking, this is not the result any of us wanted.”
