One of West Australian Premier Mark McGowan's children remains in a Perth hospital with COVID-19 after being admitted in a serious condition despite being fully vaccinated.It is not known which of Mr McGowan's children is in hospital with the virusDeputy Premier Roger Cook has wished the child and Mr McGowan, who has also contracted the virus, a speedy recovery.
"You can tell he's got the disease, but he's very strong and he's continuing to do his work from home and maintaining great leadership for the government during this difficult time," he said.Mr Cook reminded people with COVID-19 to seek help if their condition worsened. He then announced on Friday morning that a positive PCR result meant he would be in isolation until at least next Thursday afternoon.
Mr Albanese is still planning to launch Labor's campaign in Perth next Sunday, in a sign of how important the state is viewed in the May 21 federal election.
