Breaking: Western Australia will ditch its indoor mask mandate and proof of vaccination requirements from Friday and will remove all capacity limits at venues | WA Omicron

Western Australia will ditch its indoor mask mandate and proof of vaccination requirements from Friday and will remove all capacity limits at venues.

WA will also move in line with the rest of the country and remove the need for close contacts to isolate for seven days. Close contacts will instead be required to wear masks in public, test daily and avoid vulnerable settings. She said the removal of the proof of vaccination requirement was to remove the burden from hospitality venues given WA’s 99 per cent double dose vaccination rate and 70 per cent triple-dose rate.
