The legal rights of employees working from home are set to be examined by The Fair Work Commission just as businesses across Australia begin to mandate more in-office days.
The Fair Work Commission is looking at bolstering rights for employees working from home while dozens of companies across Australia are ordering their workers back to the office.
The initiative will consider eight key questions which include how working from home should be defined, should employees be legally able to request WFH arrangements and how would overtime would be authorised and recorded. "So we consider that award facilitation of access to working at home arrangements is a matter which requires priority consideration."
