Intensive care specialist from Nepean Hospital Dr Huong Nguyen has made a desperate plea for young people in NSW to do the right thing and get their vaccination to help keep beds free in the ICU.
Dr Huong Nguyen, from Nepean Hospital, said doctors and nurses were not only worried about the increasing number of young people admitted to intensive care but also the prolonged length of time they remained in ICU.Dr Huong Nguyen ICU specialist at Nepean Hospital said Health workers are under pressure with more people aged under 40 with Covid-19 in ICU.
“We are worried about the increasing number of patients who are admitted to the wards because we know at some stage they will need the intensive care team’s care. “It isn’t a good day when you need to meet that team.
