Just typical of the British summer weather!
The days of temperatures of up to 35 degrees in Yorkshire are officially in the past, with cool winds and rain promising to dampen any chance of a sunny bank holiday next week.
According to the Met Office, most of the Yorkshire areas will now be looking at temperatures below 20 for the next several days including Bank Holiday Monday .This very much different news to the scorching hot weather we had at the start of July. The Met Office weather forecast for Yorkshire on Wednesday August 21, is: "Dry and clear at first but cloud thickening from the west through the morning.
From Thursday to Saturday, the cooler temperatures continue along with some strong wind. The forecast said: "Often cloudy with bands of rain arriving from the west on most days. Windy, especially on Thursday when gales are possible over hills. Temperatures generally rather cool."
