After years of taking aim at government policy intended to reduce carbon emissions News Corp, the publisher of several Australian newspapers, will end its long-standing editorial hostility towards carbon reduction policies and advocate for the world’s leading economies to hit net zero emissions by 2050.

Despite public denials of their position on climate change the organisation, which also owns Sky News, is widely viewed as being hostile towards the science behind global warming and has since 2007 attacked various federal government efforts to reduce emissions.
