They are the owners and instructors at Alter Ego Project Canopy Piloting School and train at Skydive Sebastian.
“This is the biggest competition we get to do in our careers,” Jeannie said. “With thousands of people watching, carrying the American flag. It’s incredible. It’s a cool opportunity to represent our country.” They jumped on Monday at Barber, skidding across an 80-by-20 meter pond built just for the sport. “This place is beautifully landscaped,” Curt said.
Fans gathered to watch. They see the helicopter take off with the skydivers, then watch them take turns maneuvering through the sky, lining themselves up for precise landings. The athletes have competed around the world, in Saudi Arabia, South Africa and in the Middle East.The Bartholomews brought their own contingent of fans, including family and friends.The competition concludes this afternoon, weather permitting.“This is the highest level,” Curt said.
