Premier Daniel Andrews' road map to recovery was greeted with relief by some and sorrow by others. Five Victorians tell us what the changes mean for them.
Five Victorians tell us what the changes mean for them.Bared Footwear owner Anna Baird says she is one of the lucky retail businesses not affected by the past six weeks and Sunday’s road map."We’re not a retailer with a lot of bricks and mortar stores and online has been a massive focus for us for a long time, and it was a majority of our business even before COVID-19 hit," she said.
"But for brick-and-mortar retail, it’s a lot of years and investment to have an online business and it's not something that people can just dial-up when they need to," Ms Baird said. "I’ll be dining out every day, booking local places like Midnight Starling, Lake House, Glenlyon Store and Spaghetti Bar."
Mr Fox says he doesn’t understand why landscapers can’t continue operating under stage four restrictions. "We were disappointed but it wasn't unexpected, what Daniel Andrews is saying, it makes sense, would you want to come this far and risk losing it all again and be back to square one," Mr Ellery said.
After hearing the road map, Mr Ellery says there have been a lot of positives to come out of the lockdowns.
