Queensland is ‘heartless one day’ grand finals the next | Sky News AustraliaQueensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk treats “mainstream Australians like garbage” while at the same time crawls and bows to AFL heavies, according to Sky News host Chris Kenny.\n\nQueensland’s strict border controls have prevented people from crossing the border for much needed medical care or to attend work.\n\nAn expectant mum in northern NSW was forced to wait almost a full day and fly to Sydney as opposed to the short trip to Brisbane where she eventually lost her baby daughter.\n\n“State premiers think their job is to keep infections out, they don't seem to care about jobs, small business, education, medical treatment, families, love, care and convenience,” Mr Kenny said.\n\n“They just think the infection count, for a disease that is trifling for more than 95 per cent of the people who get it, is what matters”.\n\nMeanwhile, AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan and Collingwood Chairman Eddie McGuire and their families flew to Queensland on Tuesday to announce the plans for the grand final set to be played in Brisbane.\n\n“Sure, the Queensland government will tell us they’re going into quarantine bubbles and all the rest of it. But this is wrong. This is hypocritical. This is unfair.\n\n“A Labor premier is supposed to look after the people, but Palaszczuk is more interested in doing deals and looking after powerful mates.”\n\n“Queensland, heartless one day, grand finals the next”.\n\nImage: News Corp Australia
