All shot by themselves, within COVID-19 guidelines.
Our filmmakers looked down the lens of their cameras as if talking to me and I would interview them via FaceTime set up on their computer nearby.Some of the interviews came back with compromised frames or sound dropping out halfway through when they changed a battery, but most of it had clear audio and focus, so we were happy.Even though it was all done remotely, the process was much like normal filmmaking.
We included the filmmakers throughout their story edit — sending them scripts and cuts, so they could follow the story's progression.21-year-old Anna spent lockdown alone in a Brisbane apartment counting the hours to speak to her family in Italy each evening."Filming gave me confidence and sharing this story has given me the freedom to express my creativity even further."
