Rejoice: these Brisbane cafes are open on Good Friday.
On just one day of the year, Brisbane truly earns its unfair reputation as a big country town, and that’s Good Friday.
Worse by a mile than Christmas Day or New Year’s Day, this public holiday is bad news to anyone reliant on our thriving cafe scene to get them up and moving with a latte, flat white or cappuccino. Because - and I’m sorry - many of them are shut. This is not a comprehensive list, and you may have to book if you have brunch on your mind. Also, be aware that you’ll almost certainly be hit with a public holiday surcharge of 10-20 per cent. But heaven knows, it’ll be worth it.
