The Brisbane Lions face Collingwood in the 2023 AFL grand final on Saturday at 2.30pm.
Pretty much every pub in town will have a screen tuned to the match, held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, but for the best experience we recommend the spots listed below, including official AFL Queensland live sites.Daylight saving kicks in at midnight on Sunday in the southern states, so Sunday’s 2023 NRL grand final between the Brisbane Broncos and Penrith Panthers at Sydney’s Accor Stadium will kick off at 6.30pm Queensland time.
The atmosphere will be most electric in the homelands near Suncorp Stadium: at Red Hill and Petrie Terrace. Don’t forget that the Gold Coast Titans have made the NRLW grand final and will face the Newcastle Knights at 2.55pm – so you might be wise to arrive early and settle in for both epic showdowns.
You can also check to see if your local club is screening the matches and go watch there – it’s a great way to show your support.From Thursday to Saturday, Riverside Green at South Bank will host Aussie rules clinics, inflatable AFL handball targets, face painting and a Brisbane Lions merchandise stall, while the game itself will be screened in the piazza.Saturday’s looking to be a hot one, but you’ll be able to watch the game while soaking in the pool at Streets Beach.
